In this artistic exploration, I find inspiration in the profound connections between cultures, where traditions, heritage, and rituals become woven threads in the rich tapestry of human existence. "Basket" is a collection of works that delves into the captivating essence of Chinese and East Asian cultures, revealing their timeless practice of laying out harvested goods to bask in the sun, a method of preservation as old as civilization itself. "Basket" is a visual celebration of the simple yet profound act of laying out the harvest to dry. This ancient practice transcends time and borders, linking us to the roots of our existence as a species. As fruits, vegetables, herbs, and grains are spread out under the sun's gentle embrace, they transform into vibrant, fragrant, and nourishing treasures of sustenance.
