META

It is what it is: self-evident, reliant on itself.

The Angst of the times: the collective and yet individual anxiety of our individual and yet collective premonitions of our senses and the world.

This is META.

The academic notion of meta has been around for over half a decade.

META: the thinking about the thinking.

The game and play of the self-evident.

The melodrama of narrative.

For me, it is personal.

It is the idea that we as individuals must create a narrative and identity—somehow— in our hyper digitaland personified lives.

As an artist, I think about my work as a continued narrative…but of what? With what meaning? With what value?

Inevitably, I get lost.

Lost in the meaning, the thinking, the perceived values, and the time spent.

And yet:I remain calm.

Nervously calm….Hoping that the choices, the actions the challenges, the pain, the joy of living will account for something.

For what?

Not sure….but yet I am…but yet I am not….but then…..

It is too muddy and convoluted to describe and so all I can do is move forward into the void; smacking the walls of purposefulness with my intended acts of purpose.

Creating meaning with my actions.

Wandering around in the halls of past histories META, only to see that it is all the same:

Fluid.

Human.
